Life has been so busy lately ya’ll & we just need to catch up. Honestly, I’ve been doing a LOT this month: learning to be a puppy mom, getting healthy (hello, probiotics. Gotta #BelieveInYourGut), and that I should never leave the gym…
First, let’s talk about why being a puppy mom makes me healthy. This month, I’ve gone outside more than I have in the last like, 10 years. Mainly because I hate being outside, but also because I don’t really ever have a reason to go outside.
Having Ellie has been the jump in our fitness that we needed. Looking at her little face makes me feel bad for keeping her inside. In case you missed my “I don’t think you’re ready for this Ellie” post, we puppy-pad train her. That means she eats, sleep and poops ALL in our apartment. I mean, she comes to work with us, but she doesn’t have a real yard. While she’s only 3 pounds, this girl still deserves outside time. Walking her is that jumpstart that not only her life, but my life needs. I can’t lose weight just in those twenty minute walks (not really a walk, more of a walk, stop, walk, stop, walk, bite me, walk, stop, poop, walk).
Along with this, we’re gearing up to get back into shape in the kitchen. (Summer is coming and I’m a marshmallow) I’m sure you’ve seen that my weeks & weeks of #getFIT posts have all but fallen flat. It’s been kind of rough, and I’ve gained a couple of pounds out of it- but my motivation has just been nowhere. After work, I want to collapse on the couch and not deal with the gym. Someone fix me.
One thing I’ve incorporated into my diet is probiotics. I’ve posted on Facebook a couple of times about my quest for those probiotic drinks (that are so extremely expensive) but so addicting. Guess what?! I’ve found my savior, guys. Tropicana (like, the orange juice) has these probiotic drinks that are life changing. Tropicana Essentials Probiotics come in three flavors- Strawberry Banana (my favorite), Pineapple Mango (Dylan’s favorite) and Peach Passion Fruit (which tastes like a vacation) and have over ONE BILLION LIVE ACTIVE CULTURES. Gut health to me has been everything lately, and it’s the KEY to living and feeling great! You know how much I eat nachos, so I can use all the help I can get…
Really though, if you’re looking to step up your health game, and don’t want to go to a store that’s going to upsell you pills, a facebook group that’s going to sell you wraps, or a friend who says that vodka “kills the bad bacteria”, this is where you should start. In essence, probiotics can help to break down those non-digestibles & help you with the “bad” bacterias. Drinking delicious juice is actually the most fun way to get healthy… Right?
Also, I’ve been back in the gym this month. Have we ever talked about endorphins? Guys, there these little bees that live in your body, and they fly all around after you work out and that make you super unnecessarily happy. Seriously though, there’s nothing better than the feelings that the gym gives you. If it’s not the fact that you can’t pee because of squats, it’s because of the endorphins swimming around in your body. It’s so great.
So far I’ve lost a few pounds, and we’re on our way to summer. One month down- only May to go! How are your fitness goals going with our eight week challenge? Hopefully you’re all having a super awesome (& fitness filled) week! Have a gut healthy day! (No really, try that Tropicana- YUM)
